About the role
- Hybrid Manual / Automated Tester supporting VA Loan Electronic Reporting and ensuring system quality. Collaborating with teams to maintain compliance and enhance testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Support testing activities for the VA Loan Guaranty Service (LGY) VA Loan Electronic Reporting Interface (VALERI) product.
- Execute manual test cases to validate functional, regression, and integration requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using VA-supported automation tools.
- Participate in test planning, test case development, and test execution for new features and releases.
- Validate data accuracy, business rules, and system behavior across integrated systems.
- Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and execution results in accordance with federal audit and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a VA Public Trust Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of software testing or quality assurance experience, OR Associate’s degree + 5 years of software testing or quality assurance experience, OR High School Diploma/GED + 7 years of software testing or quality assurance experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following automation tools: Ruby, Cucumber, Java, Selenium.
- Experience with one or more of the following manual testing tools: JIRA, Postman, ServiceNow Workflows (SWL) or similar tools.
