Responsibilities
Be part of a divisional controlling team with strong business and finance acumen
Oversee all aspects of monthly closing, reporting, and analysis for a dedicated divisional IS/BS area or legal entity
Provide expert financial and accounting advice on new business initiatives, processes, and changes in accounting standards to different stakeholders.
Prepare and review relevant accounting assessments
Support monthly, quarterly, annual internal and external reporting
Ensure SOX controls and procedures are maintained and regularly performed
Provide information to external and internal auditors
Support team members within Finance in their accounting and reporting responsibilities
Lead and participate in finance projects for system improvements, reporting optimization, and other ad-hoc projects within finance team
Drive process and systems efficiencies in all areas of responsibility.
Review, critically assess current systems, and recommend ways to achieve maximum optimization
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Part-qualified ACCA or equivalent
At least 4 years experience in an audit or commercial environment
Statutory accounting and financial reporting background is a must (preferably with a BIG 4)
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting in a regulatory framework.
US GAAP and SOX knowledge would be considered an advantage
Analytical thinking, can-do attitude, ability to prioritize and drive tasks independently
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
Ability to build strong relationships, working cross-function with internal and external stakeholders including senior management
Ability to understand end-to-end processes, identify improvement & simplification opportunities and design and implement standardized solutions
Experience with Oracle EBS/Fusion and HFM will be considered an advantage
Excellent advanced Excel skills, MS Office
