About the role
- Information Security Engineer responsible for deploying and supporting security tools across cloud and on-premise systems. Collaborating with IT to mitigate security risks in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for deploying, integrating, and supporting security tools and solutions that protect the organization’s cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Frequently leads engineering efforts and contributes to the development of security standards.
- Provides operational support and collaborates with IT and business stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and remediate security risks.
- Accountable for engineering and supporting cloud security technologies, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft E5 security solutions.
- Proactively facilitates establishing baselines for monitoring systems and applications for security related issues.
- Assist the Security Operation team during incident response and work closely with the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in security, Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, or information security.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and security.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft E5 security stack (Sentinel, Defender suite, etc.).
- Real world experience supporting and operating key security platforms.
- Current understanding of modern security best practices, cloud security principles, and security frameworks.
- Ability to work on-call and after hours as needed.
- Preferred: Security industry certifications (e.g., Security+, AZ500, SC200/300, CISSP, GSEC, etc.).
