About the role

• Project Manager for fiber optic rollout, overseeing projects from planning to commissioning in Düsseldorf and remotely. Engage in innovative digital infrastructure projects with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operational success of FTTH rollout projects, from detailed planning through to supporting the commissioning of the passive network (NE3).
• Technical oversight of construction supervision and coordination of suppliers and construction partners.
• Communication with cities and municipalities, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Planning and control of project-related budgets and material requirements, as well as management of the construction contractors’ service delivery.
• Ensuring final (route) documentation and compliance with the documentation standards of OXG Glasfasergesellschaft.

Requirements

• Knowledge in telecommunications engineering, including fiber expansion of FTTX networks and the installation/modification of telecom systems and infrastructure.
• Practical experience working with suppliers and service providers.
• Completed university degree in telecommunications, communications engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Ideally initial professional experience in project management of complex projects.
• Driver’s license class B.
• Willingness to travel regionally (approx. 15–20%).
• Knowledge of GIS systems is advantageous.
