Legal Engineer building AI-powered assistants for real estate transactions. Collaborating with Legal, AI, and Software Engineers to automate workflows in the legal sector.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of automating specific real estate legal workflows, from initial concept to successful implementation.
You’ll be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment made up of Legal, AI and Software Engineers, where your expertise helps shape product direction and impact across the world of real estate in the US.
You’ll be deeply involved in building domain-specific knowledge bases and decision trees, translating real-world legal processes into scalable AI workflows.
You’ll also contribute to the development of templates and automation blueprints for a variety of US real estate scenarios—such as due diligence for acquisitions, lease reviews, title and survey analysis, and beyond.
From researching jurisdiction-specific nuances in US property law to helping design features that align with how attorneys actually work, your input will directly inform how our product serves legal professionals.
Once you’re up and running, you’ll be expected to make meaningful contributions to our products’ success.
Requirements
You’re a licensed US attorney with demonstrated experience in commercial real estate transactions, particularly involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and/or title and survey review.
Ideally, you have 5+ years of post-qualification experience, but strong candidates with less experience will still be considered.
You can break down real estate due diligence into structured, discrete tasks that can be clearly communicated to a machine or automated process.
You’re highly tech-literate, comfortable with learning new tools, and have a curious mindset when it comes to exploring how technology can support legal work.
You’re interested in AI, large language models, and how cutting-edge tools can be applied to the practice of real estate law.
You may not have done this exact type of role before (very few have!), but you’re resourceful, analytical, and motivated to build a career in LegalTech.
It would also be nice if you:
Are familiar with LegalTech software within a law firm preferably working with or managing a team of people who interact with AI.
Have dabbled with any programming, no-code tools, software integrations/plugins or complex SaaS tools for work or personal use hobbies.
