About the role

• Mid Back-end Python Developer at Orbio World creating AI-driven tools and services. Collaborating with AI engineers to improve business efficiency through backend support and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship backend services for our internal AI platform - from API design to deployment;
• Develop secure, modular services that connect our tools with Vertex AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source model APIs;
• Partner with AI engineers to orchestrate LLM workflows - handling data pipelines, inference, and feedback loops;
• Contribute to infrastructure & deployments on Google Cloud (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI);
• Work with our DevOps engineer to evolve CI/CD, observability, and deployment workflows;
• Take ownership of backend modules - from implementation to production support - under the guidance of our Senior Backend Developer.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering skills in Python; JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus;
• Solid understanding of how to design and build microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems;
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform - GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Vertex AI;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and Docker; infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is a nice-to-have;
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI) and the tradeoffs between direct API usage and higher-level frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex);
• A DevOps mindset - comfortable building, automating, and debugging cloud infrastructure;
• Experience with data pipelines, caching, and performance optimization;
• Working knowledge of observability tools (Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry);
• Pragmatism and curiosity - you thrive in fast-moving environments and want to grow alongside senior engineers.
