About the role

• Data Analyst ensuring the reliability and integrity of data for Omise's fintech innovation. Bridging business needs and data infrastructure for optimal data quality.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first line of analytical support for the Data Engineering team, focusing on data profiling, troubleshooting pipeline outputs, and diagnosing data anomalies to minimize engineering downtime.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated data quality validation rules and metrics across critical data pipelines to ensure the integrity of our core datasets.
• Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and other business stakeholders to ensure the data lake meets their needs for accuracy and structure, acting as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting data integrity issues.
• Define and document the lineage and business context for key data assets within the data lake to improve data literacy and utilization across the company.
• Assist in data governance initiatives by analyzing existing unmanaged data sources (e.g., spreadsheets) and helping define processes for their migration into a secure, governed environment.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) on new source systems to help engineers define optimal schemas and transformation logic before development begins.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Science, IT, Statistics, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of working experience in a Data Analyst or similar position, with a strong interest in data governance and data engineering principles.
• Ability to coordinate with other teams to ensure your tasks and data requests are completed on time.
• Result-driven person with excellent time management skills.
• Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical data structures and business logic, explaining data lineage and transformation to both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Effective communicator and fluent in Thai and English.
• Proficient skills in SQL are required for data manipulation and profiling.
• Knowledge of Python for data profiling and validation is a strong plus.
