- Senior Accountant responsible for financial accounting and reporting for various companies. Leading financial processes and ensuring compliance with HGB in a premium design brand.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger and accounts payable accounting for various group companies (national and international)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
- Independently prepare VAT returns and assist with annual tax filings
- Perform analyses and account reconciliations; ensure correct posting of transactions; act as point of contact for general ledger processes and accounting questions
- Optimize and standardize accounting processes (e.g., fixed asset accounting)
- Support the accounting team and other departments
Requirements
- Certified Balance Sheet Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent qualification with solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
- Several years of experience in financial accounting within a medium-sized or international company
- Team player with a high level of conscientiousness and commitment
- Quick to grasp new concepts and work in a structured, solution-oriented manner with strong attention to detail
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / NAV
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
