About the role
- Accounting Supervisor leading accounting operations within a Shared Services environment and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting standards. Supervising accounting staff and supporting process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities within the team.
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper balance sheet account reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items.
- Support intercompany accounting processes and related reconciliations.
- Analyze financial results and variances; provide explanations to management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS as applicable).
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate workload distribution and provide guidance to accounting staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a multinational or Shared Services environment.
- Previous experience supervising or leading accounting staff.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end close.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a structured environment.
- Conversational English required.
