About the role
- Hazardous Materials Manager ensuring safe and compliant use of hazardous materials at Nordex. Support teams worldwide and strengthen standards for safe operations in various environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage global hazardous materials management tools and processes to ensure evaluation before material use
- Coordinate improvement projects related to hazardous materials and dangerous goods
- Create and update datasets, operating instructions and training materials for hazardous materials
- Support engineers on hazardous-material topics in product design and industrialization projects
- Advise on regulations such as REACH, OSHA and ADR for labeling, transport, handling, storage and disposal
- Monitor regulatory changes, communicate updates and ensure compliance across the organization
- Ensure internal audit schedules include hazardous-material topics and support internal and external audits
- Prepare reports on hazardous-material usage according to legislative requirements
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or a comparable technical field; HSE advisor training or equivalent
- Additional environmental qualification is an advantage
- High level of English (working language)
- At least two years of experience as a hazardous materials or dangerous goods advisor is desirable
- Strong IT, communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams and in intercultural environments
- Logical and data‑driven approach to problem‑solving
- Willingness to travel 15–30 percent
