Responsibilities
Coordinate and conduct audits: In collaboration with mechanical technicians and project managers, coordinate and carry out thorough audits of various buildings and their components across the Quebec region, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Plan an inspection program: Develop a detailed inspection plan identifying all building elements to be inspected
Pre-inspection preparation: Gather and analyze all relevant information on the architectural elements of the targeted buildings
Inspect architectural elements: Perform on-site surveys to assess the condition of different building components
Prepare studies and detailed inspection reports: Produce comprehensive inspection reports
Estimate component values: Estimate the value of various architectural components of a building
Perform other related tasks: Participate in various tasks related to the evaluation and improvement of building infrastructure.
Requirements
College diploma in Architectural Technology, Estimating, or Building Inspection
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience
Ability to evaluate repair and replacement costs for a building's architectural components
Knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and techniques
Knowledge of building and infrastructure standards and regulations
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
Advanced technical report writing skills
Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders
French and English proficiency (asset), both spoken and written
Good time and priority management within a multidisciplinary team
Recognized for rigor, initiative, and integrity
Valid driver's license
Ability to travel frequently within various regions of Quebec and occasionally outside Quebec, for approximately 75% of work time.
