About the role
- (Senior) Finance Ops & Accounting Manager managing finance operations and accounting processes at nilo. Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and communication of KPIs.
Responsibilities
- You oversee and develop our Finance Operations, including AP/AR, cash management, and related workflows
- You take ownership of monthly and annual closes and ensure their timely completion
- You ensure continuous monitoring and transparent communication of key financial and non-financial KPIs
- You support teams on legal questions and accompany contract reviews from a finance perspective
- You work with large datasets, ensure data quality, and identify optimization opportunities across nilo
- You work closely with our Head of Finance on company-wide projects
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting and finance operations roles
- Fluent German (C1 or higher) and confident business English (B2 or higher)
- Reliable, precise and structured working style; able to simplify complex topics quickly and deliver pragmatic, smart results
- Strong understanding of HGB and IFRS, with demonstrable responsibility for accounting processes for at least 2 years
- Nice to have: experience in a startup environment
- Strong hands-on mentality and a "getting things done" mindset
