About the role
- Engineering Manager leading a team in transforming energy systems for Europe's largest virtual power plant. Developing software architecture and automation for innovative energy solutions while fostering a culture of innovation.
Responsibilities
- You lead an interdisciplinary team of around 11 people, support their continuous professional and personal development, and motivate them through your strong communication skills.
- You are responsible for the technical development and operation of core ancillary services systems.
- You actively shape software architecture and automation.
- You work closely with colleagues from Operations, Trading and Regulatory.
- You establish efficient processes for monitoring, data quality and compliance.
- You foster a culture of innovation, ownership and continuous learning within the team.
Requirements
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Energy Economics or have equivalent expertise in these areas.
- You have several years of experience leading technical development teams.
- You have solid knowledge of modern software development (Python, Java, CI/CD, Cloud, Kubernetes).
- You drive and encourage the generation of innovative ideas and support your team in bringing them to life.
- You communicate clearly, listen actively, and approach challenges analytically and in a structured way.
- An understanding of energy market processes is an advantage.
- You are business-fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
