About the role
- Senior Revenue Accountant ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with ASC 606 regulations. Collaborating with finance and internal audit teams in a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Apply expert knowledge of ASC 606 to analyze complex revenue contracts and transactions
- Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities
- Collaborate with NetApp’s finance team to develop and maintain revenue recognition policies
- Research and provide technical accounting guidance related to new products
- Perform independent technical accounting research and document conclusions
- Collaborate with the internal audit team to ensure compliance with SOX controls
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of revenue contracts
- Perform revenue forecasting and variance analysis
- Assist with external audits and act as a point of contact for revenue-related inquiries
- Perform data analytics to study the month-over-month changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in revenue accounting
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience in revenue recognition for complex contracts and transactions, preferably in a technology or software industry
- Experience with Oracle and RevPro systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
