About the role
- (Senior) Analytics Engineer developing scalable analytics data models using dbt in Snowflake, collaborating with AI and BI teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining modular, scalable analytics data models with dbt in our Snowflake data warehouse — with a clear focus on business relevance and reusability.
- Building and extending automated tests, validations, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high data quality, consistency, and availability.
- Closely collaborating with AI, BI, and other business teams to translate business requirements into clean analytics solutions.
- Actively shaping our analytics architecture (ELT, dbt standards, naming, testing, documentation) and contributing new ideas, technologies, and best practices.
- Promoting a strong analytics engineering culture through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake and dbt for data modeling.
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools for building dashboards and reports.
- Excellent SQL skills and a solid understanding of ELT/ETL processes.
- Ideally, experience in the e‑commerce sector and a good understanding of data-driven business models.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style.
- Fluent in German and English.
