About the role

  • Tech Lead managing Back Office Squad for N5X, a platform for energy trading in Brazil. Oversee post-trade processes ensuring regulatory compliance and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Technically lead the Back Office Squad, defining architecture, quality standards, and the evolution of post-trade capabilities, including booking, processing, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Design and evolve systems responsible for processing trade events, ensuring consistency, idempotency, and traceability of transactions
  • Develop and maintain operational and financial reconciliation solutions, ensuring data integrity between internal systems and external integrations
  • Build and advance settlement capabilities (financial and/or physical), ensuring calculation accuracy, predictability, and adherence to defined operational flows
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and integrations with regulatory systems, ETRMs, and other market participants, ensuring interoperability and consistency
  • Ensure generation and delivery of regulatory and operational reports with high reliability, auditability, and compliance with legal requirements
  • Provide operational support for post-trade processes, monitoring critical flows, identifying failures, and ensuring continuity of operations
  • Define and implement engineering best practices, including data governance, versioning, observability, and management of technical debt
  • Lead the technical growth of the team, promoting autonomy, knowledge sharing, and continuous development
  • Run agile ceremonies and ensure delivery cadence, aligning technical and business priorities
  • Monitor and improve engineering and operational metrics, including lead time, reconciliation time, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
  • Report status, risks, and action plans to different levels of the organization, ensuring visibility and alignment
  • Structure the team’s evolution, defining technical capacity needs and supporting hiring decisions
  • Participate in the resolution of critical incidents, vendor management, and continuous improvement of operational processes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development (ADS), or related technology fields
  • Solid experience in software development with Java, applied to building scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain mission-critical production solutions with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous evolution
  • Practical experience with cloud (AWS), including architecture design, automation, CI/CD, and observability with active monitoring
  • Strong command of DevOps practices, including build and deploy pipelines, versioning, rollback, and production operations
  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and service integration in complex environments
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, driving architecture decisions, conducting code reviews, and evolving teams
  • Experience coordinating complex technical initiatives involving multiple systems and stakeholders
  • Ability to work with agile methodologies, ensuring delivery cadence and alignment across teams
  • Experience defining and tracking engineering metrics, including performance, lead time, SLAs, and operational efficiency
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and vendors, ensuring technical alignment, execution, and delivery quality
  • Practical experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
