Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Construction Operations Division, ensuring projects meet client requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Oversee field construction and support operations, including surveying, testing, and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with remote engineering teams to provide technical support for field activities.
Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between project management and construction fieldwork.
Manage, mentor, and grow the team to develop in-house talent for future leadership roles.
Partake in the preparation, review, and approval of project proposals, bids, and estimates in collaboration with the Bidding, Estimating, & Proposal Writing Department.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for field operations.
Provide regular updates to upper management on project progress, including key performance indicators and risk management strategies.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, Construction management, or a related field is required. However, extensive relevant experience may be accepted instead of Education.
10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction management with a proven track record of leading field operations.
Strong knowledge of construction project management tools and methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with remote teams.
Familiarity with international construction codes and standards.
Professional certifications related to engineering or construction management are preferred.
Dual experience in engineering design and construction project management is preferred.
Experience in surveying, field testing, and inspection would be a plus.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore) and project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
Experience working with international and remote teams.
Familiarity with training and development in construction operations.
