Traffic Court Coordinator Supervisor in Miami managing daily court operations and staff assignments for the County Criminal and Traffic Division. Responsible for administrative support and coordination tasks.
Responsibilities
This position serves as the Traffic Court Coordinator Supervisor within the County Criminal Division.
Provides administrative support with respect to the daily operations and management of the County Criminal and Traffic Division.
Manages the daily operations of the Traffic Court Coordinator Unit, including preparing staff assignments to ensure that all Civil Traffic Infraction Courtrooms are properly staffed.
Provides back-up assistance to judges when requested and ensures that new hires are properly trained prior to courtroom assignment.
Oversees the Juror Transport Unit, confirming daily staffing, verifying timesheet submissions, and reviewing transportation logs.
Reviews and approves timesheets for unit personnel, assists with special projects assigned by the Division Director or Administrative Judges, and serves as a back-up to the Civil Traffic Hearing Officer Liaison.
Reports major activities through periodic meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, psychology, criminology, social work, law, or a closely related field.
Four (4) years of related work experience.
A Juris Doctor degree may substitute for up to three (3) years of related work experience.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge of laws, court rules, procedures and legal documents.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relations with the judiciary, court administration, other court personnel and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally and through presentations.
Ability to make work decisions in accordance with laws, regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to work effectively with the public and handle individuals who are under stress with courtesy, tact and patience.
Ability to supervise people.
