About the role
- Geospatial Engineer joining Murphy Geospatial on high‑profile semiconductor projects in Ireland. Collaborating with experts in delivering precision and innovation in mission‑critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Work with and alongside a team of surveyors across a variety of field‑based surveying activities using advanced equipment and technologies, including: Total stations, Reality Capture scanners, GNSS/GPS equipment, and other modern survey devices
- Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing, and scanning using the latest Leica technology
- Accurately record surveying data on-site in line with project specifications, quality standards, and scope
- Assist with both field and office‑based surveying assignments
- Ensure all survey equipment is maintained, calibrated, and kept in optimal condition
- Work in accordance with company policies, safety practices, and established standards
- Perform additional duties as required by the business
Requirements
- Must be self-sufficient in terms of travel to and from the workplace
- Safe Pass certified
- A minimum of 3 year’s survey experience
- Ability to understand construction drawings and prepare files for setout in the field
- AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work as both part of a team and in lone-working situations occasionally
- Understanding of survey control traversing and analysis (desirable but not essential)
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Degree in survey related field (desirable but not essential)
- Full EU/ Irish Drivers’ license (desirable but not essential)
- Willing and able to work overtime when required
- Willingness and ability to travel and work across Europe as needed, subject to the achievement of specific career development milestones
