About the role

  • Claims Specialist adjusting and settling claims for MSIG USA. Handling investigations and claim settlements in compliance with guidelines for a leading insurance group.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust assigned claims within delegated limits of authority
  • Conduct timely and thorough investigations
  • Handle subrogation claims
  • Complete fair and equitable claim settlements
  • Collect all necessary information for assigned claims
  • Evaluate completed investigation and case facts
  • Initiate reserve changes within assigned authority
  • Report WC cases to the Claims Manager
  • Ensure compliance with all adjuster licensing regulations and requirements
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all customers throughout the claims process

Requirements

  • High School Degree or G.E.D. is required
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) is preferred
  • 3+ years of claims experience
  • Ability to successfully negotiate settlements
  • Verify coverage
  • Appropriately set reserves
  • Successfully complete investigations
  • Understand rules associated with state regulations
