About the role
- Accountant conducting HGB and IFRS financial accounting. Collaborating with international teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform financial accounting in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
- Work closely with project managers and management to ensure transparent financial reporting
- Manage international business transactions (intercompany, foreign currencies)
- Reconcile general and sub-ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable)
- Serve as a point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
- Optimize and further develop financial and project processes
- Ensure compliance with legal and internal policies
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in the IT industry
- Excellent knowledge of HGB (German GAAP) and IFRS
- Experience working in an international environment
- Excellent SAP S/4HANA skills, ideally with experience as a key user
- Ability to prepare and present financial figures in a management-oriented manner
- Strong teamwork skills and a confident demeanor when interacting with senior management
- Structured, analytical and independent way of working
- Good written and spoken English
