About the role

• Lead and build a new Engagement & Retention engineering team. Drive architecture, delivery, and technical excellence in a hybrid environment based in Joinville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Build and structure a team from scratch in a new context focused on Engagement & Retention, defining processes, rituals, roles, and best practices from the ground up;
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring on-time delivery and high quality;
• Make strategic technical decisions and guide software architecture;
• Mentor developers and QAs, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing;
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align technological solutions with business objectives;
• Implement and maintain best practices for development, security, testing, and performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience defining and implementing scalable architectures, including microservices;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP);
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB);
• Knowledge of system optimization, API security, and secure development best practices;
• Experience leading development teams and ensuring agile project delivery;
• Strong communication skills to clearly interact with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders;
• Proactive problem-solving and the ability to make technical and strategic decisions;
• Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and constructive feedback.
