About the role
- Junior Water Resources Engineer supporting waterfront infrastructure projects with hydraulic modeling and technical documentation. Collaborating with teams to develop engineering solutions for civil design challenges.
Responsibilities
- Performs 1D and 2D riverine and coastal hydraulic modeling
- Performs numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
- Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
- Participates in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
- Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, feasibility, cost, construction approaches, and scheduling performance
- Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations
- Under direction, prepares various draft documents, including reports and technical memoranda
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; required
- Master’s Degree; preferred
- 2 - 6+ years of experience; required
- Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification; required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license; preferred
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and project managers
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to gain expertise in specialized stormwater and hydraulic models
- Working knowledge of software programs: HEC-RAS, ESRI GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
