Junior Water Resources Engineer supporting waterfront infrastructure projects with hydraulic modeling and technical documentation. Collaborating with teams to develop engineering solutions for civil design challenges.
Responsibilities
Performs 1D and 2D riverine and coastal hydraulic modeling
Performs numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
Participates in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, feasibility, cost, construction approaches, and scheduling performance
Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations
Under direction, prepares various draft documents, including reports and technical memoranda
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; required
Master’s Degree; preferred
2 - 6+ years of experience; required
Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification; required
Professional Engineer (PE) license; preferred
Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members and project managers
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to gain expertise in specialized stormwater and hydraulic models
Working knowledge of software programs: HEC-RAS, ESRI GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
