About the role
- Intercompany Accountant managing all intercompany transactions at Champion Petfoods. Overseeing transfer pricing and collaborating with various teams in finance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all intercompany transactions within the company.
- Oversee all transfer pricing between legal entities and execute adjustments based on Mars guidelines.
- Record cross-charges from other Mars entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the Mars intercompany settlement process full cycle including multi-currency impacts.
- Create the Champion price lists in the ERP for intercompany product sales and execute system updates.
- Be the point of contact for intercompany pricing and oversee the multi-currency requirements.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and create manual invoices if required.
- Provide supporting schedules to assist the tax team with corporate tax returns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing and intercompany settlement practices.
- Knowledge of accounting policies and frameworks; experience with US GAAP considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills, with accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills through experience working on complex transactions.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
- Technological skills and experience working within an ERP system, Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, and other tools to translate data and results into meaningful information to support business decisions.
