About the role
- Structural Engineer supporting protective mission initiatives with the United States Secret Service. Collaborating on design and construction projects to enhance security and resilience of mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and construction teams, third-party contractors, and government partners to support mission-related infrastructure projects.
- Utilize drawings, specifications, photographs, and other technical documentation to assess and improve site and building security.
- Review and provide technical comments on analysis, design, and construction project deliverables.
- Coordinate with program managers to support development and updates to program strategies, schedules, budgets, and planning documentation.
- Document and track meetings, project activities, and program updates.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support planning and execution of design and construction projects.
- Assist in developing Scopes of Work (SOWs) and preparing contract packages for future acquisitions.
- Support coordination with contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and owner representatives on large-scale construction projects.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- 5-10 years of experience supporting program or project management activities within the construction or engineering industry.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Experience working on large construction projects and coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and develop solutions to complex problems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
