Responsibilities
Strategic and operational leadership of the purchasing department in an international manufacturing company focused on mechanics and electronics, with a purchasing volume of €35 million.
Responsible for all aspects of procurement: purchasing and sourcing strategies, commodity group management, market monitoring and analysis, supplier management, contract management, overseeing tenders and award decisions, contract negotiations, identifying and tracking cost-saving opportunities, and securing component supply.
Act as the purchasing interface for close, collaborative partnerships with existing and new suppliers in line with the Open Champion approach.
Identify and optimize procurement processes through digitization and automation, and help shape processes along the value chain through close collaboration with departments such as product management, engineering and logistics.
Lead teams: strategic purchasing (3 staff), operational purchasing (6 staff), and internal supply chain (2 staff).
Requirements
Several years of professional experience in procurement/purchasing.
Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, results orientation, and strategic expertise.
Excellent communication skills and assertiveness.
Independent and structured working style.
Business-fluent English.
Good knowledge of SAP desirable.
Completed degree in business administration (or equivalent) or a completed commercial apprenticeship with relevant further training.
