About the role
- Accounting Associate supporting finance functions including AP, AR, and journal entries at Mara Renewables Corporation. Contributing to accurate financial record-keeping and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices and employee expense reports accurately and on time
- Prepare and issue customer invoices
- Support collections and customer follow-ups
- Prepare journal entries to support month-end activities
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate account balances
- Prepare HST filings and supporting schedules
- Work closely with the Finance team to identify process improvements
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Basic understanding of HST or indirect tax preparation
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort with accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
