Responsibilities
Provide consultation on complex tax and estate planning concepts and strategies for HNW clients
Conduct a detailed discovery to understand the client and uncover issues and opportunities
Develop customized plans for clients integrating financial planning and estate/tax/business planning
Present plans and strategies to clients and advisors to influence implementation
Collaborate with Centralized Planners, Advisors, and Insurance Consultants for specialized advice
Explain rules and regulations to clients and advisors regarding personal, corporate and trust income tax
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wealth planning with other financial services
Stay updated on regulatory changes and market trends
Liaise with external advisors and industry peers
Deliver presentations to advisors, clients, and internal partners
Requirements
Chartered Accounting (CA) designation, or Legal designation (LLB)
Bilingual in French and English
Completion of the CICA In Depth Tax Course or similar course of study
Expertise in personal, trusts, estates and corporate tax with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge in civil law with understanding of common law
Ability to apply specialized knowledge to practically implement planning solutions
