About the role
- Foreign Trade Analyst ensuring compliance with customs laws and export controls in daily operations. Collaborating with teams to enhance data utilization and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance regarding customs and export control laws and regulations in daily operations within areas of responsibility within a region
- Transform data sources into measurable data
- Process and integrate data into a database/data management system
- Create dashboards for data utilization
- Implement KPIs and report results to various teams
- Manage data analysis tools and stay updated on new tools to optimize data analysis
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- 1 or more years working knowledge and practical application of US customs regulations
- Knowledge of export control legislation (mainly European Union and United States), customs laws, origin of goods and preferential treatment, local laws and regulations preferred
- Experience with SAP global trade services (GTS) module preferred
- Licensed Customs Broker, HTS classification, USMCA qualification, and Value Reconciliation preferred
