About the role
- Senior Application Administrator for the Investments team responsible for application support and monitoring, ensuring operational quality and service continuity in hybrid working conditions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and stability of area-owned applications
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs
- Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation
- Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
- Monitor applications health, logs and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively
- Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance for applications in Linux and Windows environments
- Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases
- Focus on automating operational tasks and improving deployment
- Collaborate closely with the Service Desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering teams, vendors and Product Owners
- Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
- Manage observability toolset — dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using the Grafana stack
- Maintain and build GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support GitOps workflows
- Manage and improve infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Write automation scripts in Bash and Python to remove recurring manual tasks
- Manage workloads on Kubernetes (k8s) and contribute to cluster reliability
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Experience supporting applications in production environments
- Availability for on-call rotations, maintenance and incident support outside business hours
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK)
- Solid understanding of GitLab pipelines and GitOps principles
- Practical AWS knowledge — compute, networking, storage, IAM
- Comfortable operating on Linux and Windows systems
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure-as-code
- Kubernetes knowledge — deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining workloads
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication.
