Senior Application Administrator ensuring stability and support for banking applications. Responsible for incident resolution, monitoring, and maintaining service continuity as part of an engineering team.
Responsibilities
Ensure high availability and stability of area-owned applications.
Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs.
Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation.
Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures.
Monitor applications health, logs and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively.
Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance for applications in Linux and Windows environments.
Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases.
Focus on automating operational tasks and improving deployment - build the guardrails, pipelines, and automation that lets the team move fast and deliver results.
Collaborate closely with the Service Desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering teams, vendors and Product Owners.
Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector.
Manage observability toolset — dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using the Grafana stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager).
Maintain and build GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support GitOps workflows.
Manage and improve infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
Write automation scripts in Bash and Python to remove recurring manual tasks.
Manage workloads on Kubernetes (k8s) and contribute to cluster reliability.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management.
Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Experience supporting applications in production environments.
Availability for on-call rotations, maintenance and incident support outside business hours.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK).
Solid understanding of GitLab pipelines and GitOps principles.
Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure-as-code.
Kubernetes knowledge — deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining workloads.
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication.
