About the role
- Architectural Technologist transforming concepts into precise technical plans in residential and commercial projects. Collaborating with project managers and designers to ensure quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of architectural and structural concepts for projects
- Design and produce, using CAD software, the technical drawings for projects (residential and commercial layout plans, electrical requirements, ventilation, nailing/foundation layouts, enlarged details and finishes, etc.) as well as sales support tools
- Review and modify drawings based on feedback from the project team, the design team and/or the client
- Collaborate in finding solutions to resolve technical issues
- Assist project managers with the approval of technical and shop drawings
- Ensure the quality and compliance of drawings produced at various stages by drafters, ensuring adherence to LOGISCO standards and guidelines
- Contribute expertise to the development of technical details and R&D projects
- Collaborate on improving processes and working methods
Requirements
- DEC in Architectural Technology or other relevant training
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in CAD design software: Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of construction standards, local regulations, the National Building Code (NBC) and basic knowledge of building mechanical systems
- Familiarity with BIM processes
