About the role
- Junior Platform Engineering Consultant supporting Kubernetes architecture, design, and implementations in a hybrid environment. Working with container orchestration and cloud native development at Liquid Reply.
Responsibilities
- Support in the architecture, design, and implementation of Kubernetes environments based on bare metal or IaaS platforms
- Execute migrations to/from containerized environments and design multi-cloud container orchestration setups with high availability
- Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines and automate environment provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Assist with system and container hardening and implement additional cloud-native security tools
- Produce relevant content for clients and prospects about our area of expertise
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree in (Business) Computer Science, (Business) Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Experience working with Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS certification is a plus)
- Knowledge of distributed systems, storage, backup & recovery, scaling, and performance optimization
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the DevOps philosophy
- Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines is advantageous
- Familiarity with concepts, tools, or frameworks such as OpenShift, Mesos, Nomad, Microservices, Cloud Native architectures, Self-Contained Systems
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Willingness to travel domestically on occasion
