Responsibilities
- **What you do as the Director, Finance at Liferaft**
- Financial Leadership: Lead the finance function, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and reports. Provide financial insights to guide decision-making at the executive and operational levels.
- Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies, and key metric tracking specific to each function, working with members of those departments including the lead VP/C-level and their operation teams as needed, identifying growth opportunities and managing risks. Help define financial objectives in alignment with the company's business goals.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting processes and quarterly forecasts. Establish and monitor key financial metrics monthly and/or weekly to track performance and profitability.
- Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support day-to-day operations while maximizing returns on available capital.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Create financial models to evaluate business opportunities, investment decisions, and potential M&A activities. Provide in-depth financial analysis and support to drive business performance and meet reporting requirements for our parent company.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax laws, financial reporting standards, and auditing practices. Lead financial audits and work closely with external auditors as necessary.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team. Foster a collaborative culture that promotes professional growth and operational excellence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the company, including Sales, Product, to provide financial insight that supports business development and operational optimization.
Requirements
- **What You Need to Get the Job Done**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in SaaS financial management, ideally in a high-growth, subscription-based environment.
- Experience with Excel-based financial modelling, QBO, Float, Maxio, Salesforce and QuotaPath
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Expertise in managing cash flow and profitability in a fast-paced, evolving market.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting and compliance standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
