About the role
- Senior Finance Business Analyst at Leidos providing financial planning and analysis for a multi-hundred-million-dollar IT portfolio. Serving as a primary financial partner in a remote setup with occasional onsite support.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial partner for designated CIO or CIS sub-organization with annual costs of $150M+
- Deliver continuous financial oversight through monthly reporting, quarterly re-forecasting, annual operating plan (AOP) development, and long-range strategic planning
- Perform monthly financial close, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting for CIO or CIS sub-organization budgets
- Perform data analysis to develop strategies and plans to optimize costs
- Evaluate financial business rhythms and manage the Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and Variance Reporting (VAR)
- Partner with Budget Owners to create robust financial models for priority operational activities
- Translate business trends into actionable financial risk and opportunity insights
- Partner with Global Supply Chain and Budget Owners to proactively identify, quantify, and incorporate cost impacts into budgets and forecasts
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within the CIO/CIS Financial Services and Operations team
- Present financial strategy, risks, and recommendations directly to VP and Director-Level stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in financial management
- Master's Degree and 10+ years or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Experience overseeing a $150M+ annual financial portfolio
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within an IT environment
- Strong understanding of government financial regulations, compliance requirements, and financial controls
- Experience with program start-up and lifecycle financial management
- Proven track record of successfully managing the financial aspects of government programs
