About the role

  • Relay Settings Engineer at Leidos working on engineering solutions for utility substations and renewable energy projects. Interfacing with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Work with protection engineers and perform quality reviews on relay setting packages
  • Create logic diagrams for IEC61850 substations
  • Work directly with clients and remote office locations
  • Support a full range of project planning activities through design and construction support
  • Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including relay set points, logic diagrams, configuration files, and documentation
  • Solve challenging substation engineering problems

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Internship experience (for Associate Level)
  • Three plus years of related experience (for Intermediate Level)
  • Experience creating relay settings and logic diagrams
  • Capable of understanding Aspen OneLiner and/or Siemen’s CAPE
  • Experience with protective relay coordination studies
  • Familiarity with Schweitzer AcSELerator QuickSet, General Electric EnerVista, and Schneider Electric MiCOM software is a plus
  • EIT/PE License is favorable
