About the role

• Mid Software Engineer (Backend) leading migration to Auth0 at LEAP Dev, enhancing security in legal software solutions. Collaborate with the Core Product team to implement robust backend services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the migration from our in-house authentication system to a third-party authentication platform, while ensuring continued stability of the existing system.
• Design and implement backend services using Node.js
• Build and support client-side applications using React
• Apply RESTful API design principles and contribute to API implementation and integration
• Apply best practices and industry standards for software development, such as agile methodologies, test-driven development, and CI/CD
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in software development
• Strong backend development using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript), or .NET (C#) with a willingness to work with Node.js
• Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Working with authentication systems (e.g. OpenID Connect, SSO, JWT-based auth)
• Developing frontend solutions using React (bonus)
• Integrating with a market-leading authentication platform (e.g. Auth0) (bonus)
• Developing applications in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS, or Azure with transferable experience) (bonus)
