About the role
- Controller overseeing accounting for a high-growth SaaS firm. Ensuring compliance, timely reporting, and leading the accounting team with NetSuite expertise.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue accounting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage SaaS-specific accounting areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), deferred revenue, subscriptions, usage-based billing, and customer contracts
- Own and maintain NetSuite, including system configuration, reporting, integrations, and process improvements
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and scalability
- Partner with FP&A, Sales Ops, and Revenue Operations to ensure accurate billing, forecasting, and reporting
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements; serve as primary contact for external auditors
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC)
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team as the organization scales
- Assist with system implementations, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
