Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses and issue legal opinions on tax matters, interpreting applicable legislation and jurisprudence
- Represent clients in administrative and judicial proceedings related to tax matters
- Prepare defenses and appeals in tax proceedings to protect clients' interests
- Deliver oral arguments and manage court hearings/bench conferences
- Negotiate with public agencies and tax authorities on tax matters
- Advise and assist the legal team on complex tax issues, providing technical and strategic support
- Review team-prepared materials, including pleadings, client communications, and presentations
- Hold meetings and presentations for clients, explaining tax issues and the strategies adopted
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and jurisprudence, always seeking the best solutions for clients
- Participate in events, seminars, and courses related to tax law to improve knowledge and skills
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' tax burden within legal limits
Requirements
- Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent)
- Active OAB registration
- Minimum 4 years of experience in tax law
- Experience working with mass contracts or large-volume contract portfolios
- Knowledge of ADVWIN+ will be considered a plus
- Availability to work on a hybrid in-office basis in Belo Horizonte
