About the role
- Head of Legal overseeing a European legal team for KYOCERA AVX. Providing strategic legal advice across various business functions and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership and further development of a European team
- Legal advice to executive management and business units, particularly in contract, corporate, employment, data protection and compliance law
- Contract management: review, drafting and negotiation of complex agreements with business partners
- Identification, assessment and mitigation of legal risks in an international business environment
- Monitoring regulatory developments across Europe and advising management on legal implications
- Support for M&A activities, including legal due diligence and coordination of external law firms
- Supporting business units in complying with internal policies and legal requirements
- Design, delivery and ongoing development of internal legal training and governance measures
Requirements
- Completed legal studies: fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) with both state examinations or equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role or at a commercial law firm, ideally in an international environment
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a team
- Expert knowledge of business/corporate law and related legal areas
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
