Responsibilities
Develop control system designs
Deploy and commission PLC code
Create graphical user interfaces for material-handling systems
Test code functionality before deployment
Troubleshoot on-site
Collaborate with Electrical Engineering on control network architecture
Define electrical device requirements
Support estimates, review customer standards, and develop recommendations for productivity improvement and cost reduction
Complete the software quality process through the execution of complex module, subsystem, and system test procedures
Can travel up to 70% of the year, working short-duration assignments up to and including multiple 10/4 rotations, depending on the project requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
Five (5) years of work experience in the material handling industry or a similar industry
Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC programming, including GuardLogix and Siemens TIA Portal PLC programming, including Starter
Experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture
Experience interpreting electrical schematic drawings and understanding HMI programming
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven interpersonal and customer service skills
Proven supervisory and leadership skills
