About the role
- Accounting Specialist preparing monthly and annual financial statements for the environmental industry with responsibilities including intercompany reconciliations and managing internal projects.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and assistance in preparing the consolidated financial statements
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Point of contact for external auditors, authorities, tax consultants and tax auditors
- Further development and optimization of processes within financial accounting
- Independent responsibility for internal projects
- Management of fixed assets
- Preparation of VAT advance returns
- Management of claims settlements in coordination with the insurance provider
- Independent preparation of analyses and reports
Requirements
- Completed commercial/vocational training or a degree in a relevant field
- Several years of professional experience in accounting
- Further training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) is desirable
- Willingness for personal and professional development
- Confident user of common MS Office programs, especially Excel
- Knowledge of Diamant software is an advantage
- Structured, independent and responsible way of working

- Good German language skills
