About the role

• Platform Engineer maintaining high-performance infrastructure for Knauf Group's digital transformation. Involving security protocols, automated processes, and architectural improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high performance, fault-tolerant, secure, and scalable platform and infrastructure (e.g., storage, compute, network).
• Implement security protocols and monitoring systems to ensure platform integrity and data protection, thereby minimizing risks and enhancing trust with stakeholders.
• Help to drive architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure environments, hardware, monitoring software and associated application infrastructure (e.g. web servers, application servers, and database servers).
• Develop and enhance automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment.
• Develop and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance system performance and security, directly contributing to the organization's digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Windows engineering or endpoint management, with strong experience supporting Azure-based platforms and services
• Endpoint management and configuration: Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and/or Configuration Manager (SCCM), plus client Group Policy (GPO) management and PowerShell scripting; strong OS-level troubleshooting with an automation- and security-first mindset.
• Patch and update management end to end: planning, deployment, validation, and rollback; hands-on with tools like Windows Update for Business (WUfB) and Patch My PC; solid understanding of Microsoft’s release and servicing models (security updates, feature updates, channels).
• Vulnerability management at scale: risk-based prioritization and remediation in enterprise environments.
• Delivery and collaboration: proven contribution to or leadership of technical projects, working effectively with multiple stakeholders.
