Senior Transport Engineer supporting the lifecycle of transport projects in Queensland at KBR. Collaboration with major clients and driving business growth in transport engineering.
Responsibilities
Manage internal technical teams delivering planning and design projects for key transport clients.
Guide the execution of projects to achieve as-bid margins and ensure commercial success.
Monitor WIP, billings, and accounts receivables.
Implement interventions when projects are not meeting technical, commercial, or customer goals.
Support the implementation of KBR’s Transport Business Action Plan and strategic initiatives.
Identify opportunities within the transport engineering and advisory space.
Help establish capabilities in areas such as: Traffic Impact Assessments, Intersection Analysis, Traffic Modelling, Road Safety Auditing, Safe Systems Assessments.
Identify key clients and support the development of targeted engagement plans.
Maintain proactive communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Assist in achieving revenue targets within the transport engineering market.
Support the development of pursuit strategies, including partner selection.
Contribute to tender preparation for transport-only and multidisciplinary projects.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date information within the opportunity management system.
Ensure bid costs stay within budget.
Demonstrate leadership in safety and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in engineering.
Experience working in large or complex organisations within the transport engineering sector.
Strong project experience in transport advisory or engineering roles.
Solid understanding of transport related technical standards and engineering software.
Well-developed analytical skills and commercial awareness.
The ability and willingness to travel when required.
Excellent communication skills and a passion for client engagement.
