Responsibilities
Oversee and accurately process all accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Administer client payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely filing of payroll and sales/use tax returns.
Maintain and update the chart of accounts, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and uphold a systematic electronic filing system to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Prepare and issue accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights to management.
Calculate and report key financial and operational metrics, supporting strategic decision-making.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and business partners, representing the firm professionally.
Promote a success-driven, accountable team culture through adherence to internal controls and financial best practices.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, & Outlook
Proficiency in Advanced QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Familiarity with Bill.com a plus
Familiarity with other cloud-based software applications (Expensify or Reach Reporting) a plus
Experience with other general ledger packages a plus
