About the role
- Mid-level Accounting Analyst handling reconciliations, monthly/annual closings and preparation of financial statements. Provides audit support, coordinates with tax/finance/payroll teams and mentors junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Execute, analyze and validate accounting classifications and entries, ensuring adherence to the chart of accounts and accounting standards
- Perform full and complex account reconciliations (bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, taxes, payroll, costs, expenses, provisions, loans and financing)
- Prepare, analyze and validate monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closings
- Prepare and review the Income Statement (DRE), Balance Sheet, Statement of Changes in Equity (DMPL), Cash Flow Statement (DFC) and other financial statements
- Analyze account variances, results and accounting indicators, proposing adjustments and improvements
- Ensure correct profit calculation and integrity of accounting information
- Organize, review and validate accounting documentation, ensuring legal compliance and audit readiness
- Provide direct support for internal and external audits, inspections and regulatory bodies
- Ensure proper fulfillment of ancillary accounting obligations, when applicable
- Integrate and validate information with the tax, finance and human resources/payroll departments
- Guide and provide technical support to junior analyst(s)
- Support leadership in process standardization, internal controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience with tax routines and obligations for companies taxed under the Lucro Presumido and Lucro Real regimes
- Experience with tax routines in an accounting firm
- Intermediate Excel
- Ability to read and interpret tax legislation
- Availability to work on-site in Belo Horizonte
