About the role
- Technical Manager leading agile technical teams at a Greek deep tech scale-up creating immersive cultural experiences. Directing project execution and optimizing resource allocation in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise cross-functional technical teams including Content/Media Production, XR Development (VR/AR), AI/Data, and Front-End Development.
- Lead the cross-functional technical team in an agile way and facilitate all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives).
- Plan, allocate, and optimize resources across all technical disciplines.
- Oversee technical project execution and ensure deliverables meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
- Monitor risks, dependencies, and timelines, proposing and executing mitigation actions.
- Support the definition of the long-term technical roadmap, provide input on platform architecture, and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Review specifications, designs, documentation, and source code where necessary, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Prepare technical sections of bids, proposals, and grant applications, translating customer needs into clear technical requirements.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional technical teams in Agile environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical Depth: Solid understanding of software development, XR technologies, AI/ML concepts, and 3D/content production pipelines.
- Management Skills: Hands-on experience with sprint planning and backlog management.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.
- Quality Oversight: Proven experience ensuring high-quality technical delivery and reviewing architectures.
- Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly.
- Strategy & Innovation: Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, R&D and innovation initiatives.
- Asset (Optional): Additional certifications in Agile, Cloud, XR, or AI are considered an asset.
