About the role
- Senior Consultant shaping architecture and development in SAP SD at SYNTAX. Engaging in end-to-end processes with a focus on ABAP solutions in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Development & technical implementation
- Design and implementation of customized SAP SD applications and extensions (Order to Cash, Pricing, Billing)
- Development using modern technologies: ABAP OO, CDS, BOPF, RAP, OData, Fiori Elements, ADT
- Take end-to-end responsibility – from business design to go-live
- Architecture & performance design and governance strategies for scalable ABAP architectures (Clean Core, performance, security)
- Creation and evaluation of technology and architecture concepts in complex multi-system landscapes
- Ensure code excellence, quality, and technical stability
- Integration of SAP and non-SAP systems, including modern interface architectures
- Evaluation of new SAP technologies (e.g., RAP, ABAP RESTful, cloud approaches) and derivation of concrete recommendations for action
- Advising and close collaboration with business units, architects, and project management
- Participation in project planning, effort estimation, quality assurance, and milestone control
- Coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer within client and project teams
Requirements
- Several years of experience in SAP SD (customizing & development)
- Deep knowledge of SD-integrated processes (FI, MM)
- Strong ABAP skills, including performance management for SAP landscapes with very large data volumes
- Knowledge of CDS Views, BOPF, Gateway/OData, Fiori Elements
- Experience in system integration of SAP and non-SAP applications
- Excellent analytical, communication, and solution-oriented skills
- Very good German and English skills
