About the role
- SAP Retail Consultant leading and supervising offshore SAP Retail projects for global retail clients. Ensuring high-quality deliverables and collaborating with global stakeholders across the retail industry.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor an offshore team of SAP consultants, providing technical and functional guidance to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee the design, implementation, and support of SAP Retail solutions, ensuring they align with client requirements and industry best practices
- Act as the primary offshore point of contact for onshore teams and clients, handling escalations, driving issue resolution, and ensuring client satisfaction
- Analyze client business processes in the retail domain and recommend improvements using SAP Retail solutions
- Lead the configuration, customization, and integration of SAP Retail modules, including SAP S/4 Retail/Fashion, SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP CAR
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications, test scripts, and progress reports
- Perform quality checks on deliverables to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and performance standards
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to both team members and client stakeholders
- Work closely with onshore teams and other functional/technical teams to ensure seamless project execution across geographies
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall SAP consulting experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in SAP Retail modules, with expertise in SAP Retail, SAP SD, SAP MM, and related components
- 2+ years of experience in leading and supervising offshore teams
- Strong knowledge of retail industry processes, such as merchandise management, pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and forecasting
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Retail solutions and integration with third-party tools like Point-of-Sale (POS) systems or e-commerce platforms
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in SAP methodologies, including ASAP and Agile project management
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- SAP certification(s) in relevant areas is highly desirable.
