Project Controller managing strategic and operational projects at Syntax. Ensuring alignment with business goals and monitoring project progress for optimal value delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead and perform the initial setup of projects in all internal systems, MS Teams, SharePoint, SAP Cloud ALM and other project management tools, where applicable.
Communicate the project booking structure and rules (working hours and travel policies) per project.
Initiate all financial reporting for each project/customer.
Collaborate with project managers to prepare, maintain and track project-specific management deliverables.
Support various PGO project deliverables (project charter, Q-Gate, etc.).
Prepare materials for different forums (weekly status meetings, onboarding sessions or steering templates).
Approve/clarify timesheets as well as travel bookings and expenses.
Collect information for project status reporting and provide weekly updates.
Execute the billing cycle in coordination with the billing team and in accordance with contractual agreements.
Requirements
Degree in business/administration or strong professional experience and mindset.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT or consulting environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
Advanced MS Excel skills required to manage, track and report project budgets.
Ideally experience with SAP modules and transactions to manage the order-to-cash process.
Ability to balance competing or conflicting tasks and requirements from different projects and stakeholders on a daily basis.
Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness; strong facilitation skills; ability to clarify and articulate issues.
Knowledge of or prior experience with SAP is an advantage, as well as familiarity with SAP Activate and SAP Cloud ALM.
